About the Role

The Medical Laboratory Technologist program is seeking an experienced industry professional to lead lectures within the core laboratory disciplines. This advanced diploma program provides students with a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on training, covering both foundational and advanced concepts, techniques, and processes essential to the medical laboratory field. The successful candidate will work as a collaborative team member to support course development and instruction through the creation and delivery of all course content including lectures, laboratory exercises, evaluations and other deliverables.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
Extensive expertise in Chemistry, Transfusion Medicine, and Hematology
Active licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
Experience in teaching and training within adult education is strongly preferred
Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective instruction
Strong coaching and student support skills
Experience managing classroom dynamics and fostering a positive learning environment
In-depth knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles
A student-centered approach with a commitment to fostering innovation and positive change
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive team culture
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in curriculum development and delivery
Dedicated professional with a passion for education, student success, and continuous program enhancement
