About the Role
This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit at the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or access concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
