About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, access points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor entry procedures, and reporting access-control concerns in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic workplace environment.

Requirements

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
