About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, access points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor entry procedures, and reporting access-control concerns in accordance with site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic workplace environment.

Requirements

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
