About the Role

This role focuses on assisting the project team in completing designated projects, with an emphasis on learning Ryan's processes, procedures, and business policies. The objective is to educate the employee in field and office operations while working from a construction project site.

Responsibilities

  • Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
  • Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
  • Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
  • Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
  • Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
  • Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
  • Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.

Requirements

  • Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.
  • Must have knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.
  • Must be able to assume responsibility.
  • Must be able to interface & communicate effectively.
