About the Role
The Life Enrichment Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and implement therapeutic activities and events for residents in a memory care and assisted living community. This role supports the Life Enrichment Director in developing programming that fosters social engagement, physical activity, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
- Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
- Develop and deliver a diverse calendar of daily activities that meet the recreational and therapeutic needs of residents.
- Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director, other coordinators, volunteers, and interdisciplinary staff to provide well-rounded programs.
- Provide transportation for residents using the community van or bus for medical appointments and community outings.
- Maintain positive, professional interactions with residents, families, coworkers, and management.
Requirements
- Geriatric education or relevant experience required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a long-term care, home care, or related setting strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Current First Aid certification in accordance with Title 22 requirements.
- Demonstrated positive work ethic and genuine compassion for older adults.
- Keep abreast of current state and federal laws and regulations relevant to long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email software.
