About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Understand and contribute to achieving key business metrics, including profit and loss, customer satisfaction, execution standards, audit compliance, labour management, and productivity.
  • Anticipate customer needs and prioritize them.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team, enhancing their skills in customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and operational excellence.
  • Create a positive and inclusive workplace by fostering colleague engagement, development, retention, and a culture of belonging.
  • Build long-term relationships with the community.
  • Drive merchandising excellence and operational standards.
  • Be accountable for financial objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
  • Partner with the store leadership team to drive people strategies aligned with business objectives, company culture, and values.
  • Provide input to the District Manager to help shape business strategy.
  • Constantly look out for industry trends, propose and implement unique ideas.
  • Build and lead diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a talent for building customer loyalty and community relationships.
  • Flexibility and the ability to learn via a variety of mediums.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, engagement and retention.
  • Experience managing overall store operations within the grocery industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze data and trends to deliver outstanding business results.
  • Commitment to delivering consistent results, everyday.
  • A strong network in the industry and community.
  • Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check.
