About the Role
Arize AI is seeking a candidate to own the documentation aspect of their developer relations mission, ensuring a stellar developer experience for Arize AX and Arize Phoenix. This role involves maintaining documentation accuracy, expanding guides, and ensuring correct documentation in external materials. A key challenge will be creating documentation that is both human-readable and unambiguous for coding agents, leveraging AI-driven automation to manage content.
Responsibilities
- Own the health of Arize's product documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Build automated systems to monitor documentation quality, detect code-doc drift, test code samples, and draft updates.
- Adapt documentation for both human and coding agent consumption, focusing on structured content and machine-readability.
- Write and refresh tutorials, cookbooks, and open-source demonstration repositories.
- Ensure accurate documentation of Arize in external materials through collaboration with partners and authors.
- Create a seamless onboarding experience for new users, enabling them to achieve their first working evaluation unassisted.
- Incorporate community feedback into product insights for roadmap development.
- Support the marketing team with content for field marketing, SEO, and website copy.
- Engage with the developer community at events and online platforms.
- Serve as a primary contact for community product questions, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Collaborate with the Product team on feature and product direction prototypes.
Requirements
- 3+ years in technical writing, documentation engineering, developer relations, or a related engineering role with significant writing experience.
- Excellent technical communication skills, evidenced by public-facing documentation, blog posts, or videos.
- Up-to-date engineering skills, including experience with docs-as-code workflows and CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of LLM-based app development (agents, RAG, orchestration frameworks).
- Genuine interest in how agents interact with documentation and in building related tooling.
- Curious, self-motivated, and comfortable with startup ambiguity and rapid iteration.
- Willingness to attend occasional evening and weekend in-person events.
