About the Role
WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a Regional Director to oversee operations and ensure high-quality service delivery across multiple clinics. This role involves managing clinic operations, staff, and physician relations to meet corporate objectives and enhance patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all clinics in the region operate in accordance with corporate objectives, policies, programs, and service standards.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service in all clinics to meet or exceed patient and physician expectations.
- Monitor business analytics and accountability reports for all clinics in the region and take appropriate actions.
- Plan and organize all clinic operations, including facilities, equipment maintenance, and Human Resources requirements.
- Coordinate with physicians working at the clinics and assist in recruiting additional physicians.
- Plan and organize staff changes, including recruitment, promotion, transfer, and discipline.
- Arrange renewal and compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement, if applicable.
- Identify opportunities for new services to be added at the clinics.
- Assist in procurement of equipment, service contracts, and critical supplies.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and take appropriate action in case of adverse feedback.
- Improve employee engagement via ongoing and new initiatives to support employee growth and development.
- Coach and mentor clinic managers and site leads to improve patient flow and efficiency, reduce wait times, and optimize staff schedules.
- Submit biweekly progress reports on operations and present at senior management meetings, focusing on personnel concerns, patient wait-times, business development, and new initiatives.
- Collaborate with Physician Relations to maintain and improve positive relationships with referring physicians.
- Coordinate with Facilities to plan and organize new clinic locations in the region.
- Implement procedural, administrative, and organizational changes as per corporate objectives.
- Support client-focused services to monitor client satisfaction, enabling senior management to address negative issues and optimize patient and physician services.
- Positively influence clinic staff members, including physicians, nurses, physician’s aids, and administrative staff, to ensure efficient and effective clinic operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of management experience in the healthcare industry.
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to changing environments and clients.
- Self-starter that thrives in entrepreneurial environments.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of integrity and sincerity.
- Demonstrated leadership, reliability, and flexibility.
- Willingness to travel throughout Ontario, when required.
Skills
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to engage, inspire, and build credibility.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills enabling development and maintenance of strong relationships with healthcare professionals (influencing, teamwork, empowerment, conflict resolution management).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care.
- Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
