About the Role
This role offers an opportunity to join a growing Canadian healthcare organization and gain valuable exposure to healthcare finance, treasury operations, cash management, banking, and financial controls. As a Junior Accountant, you will be part of a collaborative finance team supporting multiple entities across Clearpoint Health Network, gaining hands-on experience in critical financial processes while working closely with the Treasury team.
Responsibilities
- Performing daily bank reconciliations for all CHN bank accounts
- Managing daily cash applications across all CHN entities
- Overseeing treasury operations (payment processing on CIBC CMO, funds transfer, tax payments, etc.)
- Administering corporate card management
- Supporting ad hoc projects such as reconciliation and billing
Requirements
- Proven experience in bank reconciliation and cash application
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and journal entry preparation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Must be eligible to work in Canada at all times while employed with Clearpoint Health Network.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
