About the Role
The Junior Account Sales Executive supports the VP of Sales or Account Sales Executive with mid-tier accounts, including Marshalls and Nordstrom Rack. This role involves coordinating with various departments to maximize commercialization and brand management by retailer.
Responsibilities
- Understand annual sales goals and establish a plan to achieve them.
- Promote and grow brands/categories in existing and new accounts.
- Send ATS every Monday to capture weekly OTB/in-season opportunities.
- Secure and manage all bulks/buys/cost requests and art requests within respective departments, ensuring completion.
- Review sales weekly and communicate consistently with buyers.
- Segment opportunities and in-season builds in conjunction with the team and customer needs.
- Comprehend competitive price points and weekly best sellers by season/category.
- Identify new opportunities to gain incremental sales.
- Actively use all Marketing tools, imagery, social platforms, and in-store promotions.
- Negotiate positioning within the floor by account to manage sell-in IMU% to leverage less MDA at End of season.
- Meet with the planning team monthly or weekly on an as-needed basis and form a liaison to retailers' planning team.
- Travel/ZOOM to accounts regularly, secure market appointments, and initiate timely follow-up and next steps.
- Run NSR + open order report daily to keep the order book clean.
- Request extensions as needed and make substitutions to mitigate any loss of sales.
- Understand YTD sales vs. monthly budget and target sales goals.
- Ensure Sales Coordinators have met with sales support to ensure all orders and dates are bucketed correctly in the system.
- Manage Sales Coordinator, ensuring they check customer orders for correct data (costing/wholesale price, units, terms, ship windows, and bulks).
- Provide weekly account updates to team leaders and management.
- Perform any other duties as assigned in support of company needs and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years of Sales Account Management experience.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel) and database systems.
- Strong business judgment and sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently under critical time frames.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with necessary interpersonal skills to deal with various individuals and clients.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and draw valid conclusions that show understanding and insight with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be extremely flexible and adaptable in completing a diverse range of assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to prioritize projects and workload.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the department and company.
