About the Role

As a Mechanical Calibration Technician at Espey, you will be part of a team crafting transformer and power systems for military and industrial products. This role requires broad expertise across cybersecurity, hardware, software, networking, and systems administration, with the ability to handle IT-related activities in a highly regulated, high-security setting.

Responsibilities

• Plans sequence of testing and calibration procedures for measuring tools and equipment.
• Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
• Disassembles equipment and inspects components for defects.
• Measures parts for conformity with specifications.
• Repairs, replaces, and maintains calibrated equipment.
• Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
• Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring and indicating equipment.
• Verifies and maintains inspection and production fixtures.
• Processes RMAs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a calibration capacity supporting a manufacturing environment.
• Frequently required to sit, talk, & hear.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Effectiveness depends on coordinating the work of other departments.
