About the Role
As an International Tax Manager, you will be responsible for tax matters in a national and international environment. You will ensure compliance and support strategic business decisions in collaboration with Finance, Group Tax, and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Oversee corporate tax, trade tax, VAT, and payroll tax, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Coordinate tax returns, manage tax audits, and ensure adherence to tax requirements.
- Develop the Tax Control Framework, assess tax law developments, and support tax risk management initiatives.
- Advise on transactions, restructurings, and new business models, supporting international tax compliance and strategic tax projects.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, external tax advisors, and other internal stakeholders to develop practical solutions for complex issues.
- Support the Firmwide Tax Director, work cross-locationally with international teams, and travel to national and international locations as needed.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Tax, Law, Business, or Finance.
- Tax advisor examination or comparable qualification is advantageous.
- 5-7 years of experience in tax consulting and/or an in-house tax function of an international company.
- Sound knowledge of corporate tax, trade tax, VAT, and payroll tax matters.
- Experience with international tax law and cross-border structures (e.g., Transfer Pricing, withholding taxes, or permanent establishments).
- Experience in Austria and/or Switzerland is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, strategic, yet pragmatic approach to work.
- Confident communication in German and English.
- Experience in business partnering and working with external consultants.
