About the Role
We are seeking a Manager/Data Architect for our AI & Data practice team, looking for a candidate with strong technical leadership, hands-on experience with Data Bricks, Pursuits, proposal, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge and experience to support key project delivery.
- Build valuable relationships both within EY and with clients.
- Develop strong capabilities through formal training and working with senior mentors and talented colleagues.
- Provide architecture leadership and subject matter expertise to client engagements focusing on complex and innovative products and reusable assets.
- Develop solution plans to support business investment decisions, balancing costs, risks, and quality.
- Create innovative and practical designs for end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business strategy.
- Work closely with the business/client to meet requirements and incorporate aspects like product costs/revenue, data privacy, business continuity, information security, and integration.
- Identify, define, and implement reusable assets and standards, ensuring adherence and consumption across products and portfolios.
- Ensure relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied correctly across Technology programs/projects and products.
- Contribute to the development of architecture governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities.
- Work with vendors to assess products, understand delivery models, and assist in implementation at EY.
- Provide technical leadership and advisory services, setting architectural direction, building consensus, and mediating conflicts.
- Anticipate needs and potential objections, creating an environment for positive contributions from all participants.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills for leading global, distributed teams.
- Cultivate lasting relationships across business, IT, and vendors/industry analysts to maintain insight into the broader enterprise and industry trends.
- Recognize industry technology trends and emerging technologies, understanding their application to EY and driving adoption.
- Evangelize and encourage technical quality, emerging technologies, sharing, and experimentation through mentoring, hackathons, and communities.
- Drive a communication plan to educate stakeholders on the purpose and benefits of data architecture.
- Guide others in resolving complex issues in data architecture and solve complex, escalated project aspects.
- Monitor project progress and quality, and review due diligence to confirm solution compliance with architectural design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, informatics, operations research, engineering, or a related field.
- Awareness of emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
- Data Platform experience.
