About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician at Phoenix House, you will repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility, visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment as necessary and install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities
- Keeps facilities in compliance with all guidelines and in good appearance.
- Completes general repairs in all facilities.
- Upon receipt of work orders performs visual walk through of facility upon arrival and does additional work, if necessary.
- Maintains and keeps tools in good working order.
- Keeps an accurate inventory of tools.
- Keeps maintenance areas neat and orderly.
- Checks fuel oil levels.
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment as necessary.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Assists in maintaining an adequate inventory of on-hand supplies.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum of one years related experience and/or training in general maintenance
- Minimum of five to ten years HVAC experience required.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
