About the Role

Provide clinical counseling to youth and their families in an outpatient mental health clinic embedded within a school building. Work collaboratively with the school district and an interdisciplinary team to identify and treat students with mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the school district to identify and treat a caseload of students with mental health needs.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and individual and family therapy services.
  • Create initial treatment plans, subsequent treatment plan reviews, and progress notes.
  • Complete other documentation and assessments as indicated.
  • Collaborate with the associated clinic prescriber, other medical and mental health providers, school staff, and community supports for client care.
  • Attend school-based Behavioral Health Center staff meetings.
  • Attend and participate in supervision.
  • Provide referrals and linkages to community supports, resources, and services.

Requirements

  • Experience in human services, case management, line staff at a residential program, or any other related direct care within human services, both pre and post master degree, will be considered.
  • Good standing with the NYS Office of the Professions.
  • NYS Driver's License in good standing.

Education Level

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counselor
  • License and/or Limited Permit eligible, have a limited permit in discipline or Fully Licensed (LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R), preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $28.85 - $34.00 Hourly
