About the Role

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning maintenance activities for production, facilities, equipment, and buildings at a Coke Canada Production facility. This role supports the maintenance team by assigning work orders, managing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, and identifying recurring maintenance issues, all under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and in coordination with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Review Work Requests and gather information to properly order parts and assign Work Orders.
  • Prepare a weekly schedule and facilitate the weekly Planning Meeting.
  • Manage the PM program, including leveling PMs, reviewing PM effectiveness, assisting with PM strategy development, and establishing/adjusting PM frequencies.
  • Compile weekly compliance schedules and identify recurring maintenance issues.
  • Maintain organized records in accordance with the Records Program.
  • Utilize SAP for assigning, completing, and closing PMs and Work Orders.
  • Comply with all Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
  • Maintain and improve Maintenance KPIs for the department.
  • Develop short-term and long-term plans for equipment overhauls, rebuilds, and projects.
  • Develop PM programs using TPM methodologies and ensure PM plans remain relevant.
  • Collaborate with parts and purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery of key parts and provide backup as needed.
  • Identify equipment name, model, serial number, and part or component numbers.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Communicate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers to plan work.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and legible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a similar Engineering program.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Planner.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and analytical skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Trade ticket with a technical background is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills and advanced working knowledge of SAP system.
