About the Role
Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities. We are hiring a Senior Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered care and support a team with day-to-day operations as a team leader.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care tailored to individuals' Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Person Centered Plan (PCP).
- Assist with training team members on programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and individual needs.
- Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns immediately.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of program documentation and billable records.
- Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Ensure work locations and vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and stocked.
- Cooperate with staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of background checks (criminal, central registry, child abuse registry) and drug testing.
