About the Role
The Real Estate Corporate Operations team supports Brookfield’s real estate operating businesses by partnering with leaders and asset managers to drive operational expertise and deliver long-term value. The team is focused on efficiency, simplification, standardization, automation, and optimization. We are seeking an Analyst, Application Services to join our Business Application Services (BAS) team, providing production support for a firm-wide real estate ERP system, financial/business application services, and integration needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first/second line application support contact for assigned business applications; triage, investigate, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
- Configure application settings (roles, workflows, reference data) and perform routine maintenance (batch jobs, interfaces, data loads).
- Create and maintain knowledge articles, runbooks, and user guides; contribute to a great “total customer experience.”
- Execute and coordinate application changes and minor releases: assess impact, prepare regression test scripts, and support UAT with business stakeholders.
- Analyze recurring issues; document root causes and propose preventative fixes in partnership with senior analysts and engineers.
- Support integrations and data flows (APIs, SFTP, scheduled jobs): monitor interface health, investigate errors, and collaborate with integration teams on fixes.
- Build reports and queries (e.g., SQL/Excel/Power BI) to support Finance, Leasing, and Operations.
- Partner with vendors/implementation partners on tickets and small enhancements; track deliverables against SLAs.
- Support compliance activities with Security and Infrastructure (access reviews, audit evidence, backup/restore tests).
- Participate in cross functional initiatives such as new property onboarding, module rollouts, and data quality clean ups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience including IT certifications
- ITIL v3 Foundations or higher is considered an asset
- 1-2 years of experience in business applications support, systems analysis, or enterprise application operations (real estate industry exposure preferred).
- Strong customer service mindset; clear, concise communication (written and verbal).
- Organized and detail oriented; able to juggle multiple requests and hit SLA commitments.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise applications in a corporate environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, request, change, problem) and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following is an asset: Dealpath, Origami, VTS, (or similar integration platforms).
- Ability to write and troubleshoot basic SQL; strong Excel skills.
- Understanding of integrations (APIs, flat file exchanges, SFTP) and job/alert monitoring.
- Experience coordinating UAT and documenting test cases.
