About the Role
Assist individuals referred to the agency in managing budgets and government benefits, working in collaboration with the Senior Case Worker.
Responsibilities
- Process referrals to the program, including creating client files, setting up client in program software, and submitting applications and other paperwork for enrollment.
- Assist in completing government reports, including Wage reporting, Representative Payee, and Continuing Disability Reports.
- Ensure all bills are paid timely and follow up on outstanding payments or other issues.
- Reconcile RFMS and PEX card funding program.
- Maintain all client files according to established procedures.
- Assist in other duties related to the rep payee program.
- Work with individuals with a primary diagnosis of a mental illness.
- Use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Travel to other agency locations as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Competent with email and Microsoft Word.
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Basic banking knowledge.
- Ability to manage and balance multiple competing priorities while adhering to and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to formulate and sustain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to sit and/or stay for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift files (up to 15lbs), open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
