About the Role

This position is responsible for running and maintaining the process as well as seeking to continually improve the process; continually finding ways to improve quality and efficiency, both of which lead to a better product and reductions in the cost of producing the product.

Responsibilities

  • Independently identify, plan, and manage projects to improve and expand upon Production, Design, and Manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain oversight of Production process efficiency with the goal of increasing capacity through process improvement.
  • Provide guidance to Assembly and Test Technicians on approved manufacturing methods.
  • Oversee production manufacturing processes and identify optimization opportunities for product manufacturing technologies.
  • Utilize industry standard techniques to evaluate workflow accuracy, product quality, and compliance to program requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between Engineering and Production to ensure production processes satisfy current demand and support future growth.
  • Responsible for process qualification including compilation of data or evidence used to justify new processes or revised methodologies.
  • Support NPI efforts for new manufacturing technologies and their development into standard processes.
  • Generate necessary engineering documentation to communicate manufacturing, design, and related information.
  • Determine and review Production requirements to support manufacturing and program capacity.
  • Review and identify operational risks and single point failures, and present improvement opportunities to management.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment to reduce impacts to the production schedule.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with sensing technologies with hands-on experience in their implementation and usage.
  • Ability to lead and navigate projects related to manufacturing and process improvements.
  • Proficient in effective communication (verbal and written) with internal and external parties.
  • Ability to generate end-to-end documentation required for product launch.
  • Background in electrical and mechanical design theory.
