About the Role

Hayfin is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to develop an analytics platform that supports business reporting and decision-making. Reporting to the Director of Portfolio Analytics, you will manage an in-house application, influence data utilization, and oversee an offshore vendor team. This role is ideal for an experienced software developer looking to contribute to a dynamic team that integrates AI into its daily operations.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the analytics workflow app using Angular and Python (FastAPI), ensuring clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
Develop data pipelines and models with pandas and NumPy, utilizing Snowflake and Azure for data storage and security.
Manage an offshore vendor team by setting priorities, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and tracking time and budget.
Integrate AI coding assistants into the daily development process and identify opportunities to enhance software development, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate directly with the Director of Portfolio Analytics and business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional software and articulate technical decisions clearly.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in building and managing enterprise-grade software.
Experience working with offshore/onshore vendor teams.
8+ years of experience with Python, including pandas and NumPy.
5+ years of experience building APIs with FastAPI.
5+ years of experience with Angular and UI libraries like Material or Bootstrap.
Experience hosting and managing applications on Azure.
Experience building solutions on Snowflake.
Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in a development workflow.
Clear communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Financial services experience (asset management, banking, or fintech) is a plus.
Experience in a small, fast-moving analytics or engineering team is a plus.
