About the Role
This co-op offers hands-on experience in Product Engineering, where you'll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into the design integrity of all products both in production, as well as post-production. You’ll collaborate with the Product Engineering team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!
Responsibilities
- Be treated as a self-sufficient entry-level engineer with an assigned mentor for support.
- Troubleshoot, determine solutions, and implement changes to resolve design issues supporting production, reducing warranty, and/or fulfilling customer requests.
- Work with issues related to harnessing, motors & controllers, PCB designs, sensors & encoders, control systems, or electrical systems.
- Complete forklift training and acquire an operating license to assist in learning products, testing prototypes, and determining solution activities.
- Investigate and resolve design issues to maintain smooth production.
- Investigate and implement design changes to decrease product cost.
- Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for returned warranty parts.
- Review non-conforming material requests to determine usability in production.
- Design new features to meet market requests.
- Reproduce, determine root cause, and recommend solutions for field issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Will graduate prior to January 2029.
- Minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Ability to work onsite for the full duration of the co-op.
- Available co-op terms: Spring, Spring & Summer, Summer, Summer & Fall, or Fall.
