About the Role

This co-op offers hands-on experience in clean energy technologies, including lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, industrial chargers, and hydrogen fueling stations. You will work on meaningful projects, gain insight into next-generation technologies, and contribute directly to exciting projects in the energy and mobility space. Collaborate with the Rochester Development Center team, mentors, and leadership to build career-launching skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of energy storage and power conversion products.
Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting in labs and on prototype vehicles.
Analyze system and component performance data to identify design improvements.
Support electrical modeling and simulation of battery systems and power electronics.
Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers on integrated product development.
Participate in design reviews and present findings to multidisciplinary teams.
Learn and apply industry best practices, including design for manufacturability, reliability, and safety.

Requirements

Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
Current academic year entering Junior or Senior year BS, or Master’s any year.
Available to be onsite at our Rochester, NY location in Summer 2027 and/or Fall 2027.
