About the Role
This co-op offers hands-on experience in clean energy technologies, including lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, industrial chargers, and hydrogen fueling stations. You will work on meaningful projects, gain insight into next-generation technologies, and contribute directly to exciting projects in the energy and mobility space. Collaborate with the Rochester Development Center team, mentors, and leadership to build career-launching skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of energy storage and power conversion products.
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting in labs and on prototype vehicles.
- Analyze system and component performance data to identify design improvements.
- Support electrical modeling and simulation of battery systems and power electronics.
- Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers on integrated product development.
- Participate in design reviews and present findings to multidisciplinary teams.
- Learn and apply industry best practices, including design for manufacturability, reliability, and safety.
Requirements
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Current academic year entering Junior or Senior year BS, or Master’s any year.
- Available to be onsite at our Rochester, NY location in Summer 2027 and/or Fall 2027.
