About the Role
The Sr Manager, Individual Insurance Product Marketing & Insights will lead a team responsible for monitoring individual insurance product lines to ensure market competitiveness. This role will provide updates, education, and product support to distribution partners to improve sales and brand recognition, working closely with the Marketing team to develop sales materials and concepts.
Responsibilities
- Work with distribution partners to understand marketing needs and competitor materials, collaborating with Marketing to develop and update materials.
- Develop specialized sales concepts, working with the Actuarial team on mathematical components as needed.
- Conduct competitive analysis of Individual Insurance product features, business rules, and compensation.
- Monitor regulatory changes to identify potential product modifications.
- Support Permanent and Term Pricing teams with competitive positioning analysis and recommendations based on market research and distribution feedback.
- Develop and manage a product change roadmap considering client needs and distribution requests.
- Support distribution partners with the development and delivery of product presentations and sales tools.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Financial Planning Tax strategies.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of experience in individual Insurance.
- Strong aptitude for analysis, research, strategy, and creative marketing.
- In-depth understanding of individual insurance and product positioning for target markets.
- Strong ability to conduct research and analyze data for recommendations.
- Good understanding of the regulatory framework and taxation of life insurance products.
- Strong sales mindset/experience.
- Deep knowledge of individual insurance products, industry knowledge, distribution models, and sales strategies.
- Background check required as a condition of employment.
