About the Role

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Newport area with a young man who requires assistance due to a developmental delay. He is looking for a dedicated staff who enjoys hiking and being outside. He requires assistance with transportation to and from hiking events and someone to go hiking with him. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, patient, energetic and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to a young man with a developmental delay.
Provide transportation to and from hiking events.
Accompany the individual on hiking trips.
Utilize technology for multiple apps for community use.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
Prior experience is a plus but not required.
HS diploma/GED required.
Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
