About the Role
The Cancer Clinical Trials Research Senior Financial Analyst will support the pre-award and post-award management of cancer clinical trials, facilitating the development of compliant budgets and ensuring timely revenue receipt.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of financial management and/or accounting principles.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies governing clinical research finance.
- Monitor financial system for compliance and system integrity.
- Ensures research billing compliance.
- Review and interpret clinical research protocols and develop budgets to capture trial activity.
- Negotiate and manage complex study budgets ensuring accurate inclusion of study personnel, patient care services, research related procedures / supplies, indirect costs, and start-up costs.
- Review clinical trial agreements to identify language relating to clinical trial office deliverables.
- Negotiate directly with industry sponsors to reach an agreement on budget and payment terms.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of study accounts and monitors study account activity to ensure income and expense are within budget.
- Invoice sponsors for fees and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Verification of degree (e.g., diploma or official transcript) is required.
- At least 4 years of finance experience in a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance.
- Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
- Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen.
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
