About the Role

TrendAI, the global AI security leader and enterprise business unit of Trend Micro, empowers organizations with full AI visibility and consolidated security. We are seeking exceptional talent to collaborate and push boundaries, helping to protect what matters and shape a safer, more trustworthy AI-powered future.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features across the Connector, the Relay, and the Controller services.
• Own one or more Controller microservices end to end.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues in production.
• Write architecture proposals and design documents.
• Investigate complex production support cases.
• Contribute to the team's AI-augmented development pipeline.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building production backend systems.
• Comfortable with Kubernetes-deployed services and software that ships as a Linux VM.
• Demonstrated experience operating software that runs in customer environments.
• Hands-on production debugging with metrics, profiling, and autoscaling.
• Linux internals (systemd, namespaces, networking) sufficient to debug a misbehaving Connector.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, TLS, proxies, NAT, firewalls).
• Demonstrated experience using an agent harness in real engineering work.
• Excellent written communication skills for writing design documents.

• Go or an adjacent systems-leaning language (Rust, C++, or similar).
• Polyglot in Go, Python, some C/C++.
