About the Role

This part-time position supports the day-to-day operations of the basketball team, focusing on equipment needs and ensuring a safe playing surface. The role also involves completing impromptu requests from operations staff throughout the season.

Responsibilities

  • Remain alert and aware courtside during games to quickly address any wet spots on the court.
  • Assist players with pre-game and halftime warmups, including rebounding and passing.
  • Ensure home and visiting team benches, locker rooms, and officials' locker room are stocked, prepared, and tidy on game days.
  • Prepare locker rooms for halftime and post-game needs.
  • Greet the visiting team's bus upon arrival to assist with unloading and reloading, and support visiting team administration.
  • Provide players with towels, water, or other requested items at the bench during substitutions or timeouts.
  • Participate in the setup and breakdown of team benches, returning all game equipment to storage.
  • Assist with post-game tasks including laundry, restocking refrigerators, and on-court player requests.
  • Collaborate with Basketball Operations Staff and fellow team attendants to complete responsibilities efficiently.
  • Contribute to other internal departments such as Community Relations, PR/Communications, Team Operations, and Team Engagement based on schedule availability.
  • Assist with community relations and outreach activities, and work summer camps and clinics as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Raptors 905 staff.

Requirements

  • Ability to work all Raptors 905 home dates, including evenings and weekends.
  • Previous experience in basketball as a player, coach, team manager, or intern is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with athletes, coaches, staff, and fans.
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a constant level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Service-driven, team-first mentality.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
  • Flexibility in the face of change and ability to navigate stressful situations without losing composure.
