About the Role
General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking passionate engineers to contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of state-of-the-art submarines for the U.S. Navy. This role involves component engineering for fast attack programs, including diesel generators, pumps, condensers, and more.
Responsibilities
- Perform project management tasks including program planning.
- Develop specifications and procedures.
- Prepare technical correspondence.
- Review technical manuals.
- Coordinate with other Electric Boat departments.
- Review vendor deliverables (drawings, design reports, procedures, technical correspondence, calculations, and test reports).
- Provide qualification and production test support.
- Perform supplier oversight.
- Control costs and schedules.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines, management, naval personnel, prime contractor technical personnel, vendors, purchasing/supply-chain, quality control, trades, and other Electric Boat support personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Marine Engineering
- 0-5 years of post graduate engineering experience
- Component development experience
- Program and/or project management experience

- Effective writer/reviewer of technical correspondence
