About the Role
Family of Kidz is hiring a 1:1 Student Aide - Preschool (Behavior Technician) to work with children in an engaging and high-energy environment. This role provides academic, behavioral, and personal support to a student with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Assists a student with special needs by providing academic, behavioral, and personal support.
- Works closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure the student’s success in the classroom.
- Provides direct support to the assigned student in academic and social activities.
- Assists with classroom assignments, adapting materials as needed.
- Monitors and supports behavioral goals, using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Helps with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.
- Escorts the student to different locations (bathroom, cafeteria, therapy sessions).
- Communicates regularly with teachers, therapists, and parents about progress.
- Maintains a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Understands and demonstrates the company core values.
