About the Role
The Maintenance Engineer will partner with the engineering team at a client location, responsible for maintaining assets in all residential areas to an acceptable quality standard. This role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, BMS controls, and lighting systems.
Responsibilities
- Uphold all engineering-related brand and service standards.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs throughout buildings, grounds, and the physical plant to ensure conformance with resort standards and guest requirements.
- Assure the building is prepared with functional equipment for all seasons and assist with upcoming storms.
- Assist in maintaining the grounds, keeping common pass-throughs neat and clear.
- Perform all preventative maintenance in front and back of house spaces, including carpentry, furniture repairs, and constructing/installing building frameworks.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records while ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed.
- Ensure all projects are completed on schedule and according to specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of resort rooms, common areas, grounds, and back-of-house facilities for defects and make necessary repairs.
- Respond to all emergencies.
- Respond to service requests for guest rooms and common areas.
- Attend Team Member meetings as required.
Requirements
- Possesses general repair skills, such as carpentry and other general repair skills.
- Displays skill in the safe use of hand and power tools, along with other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Solves problems using facts and professional judgment.
- Reacts quickly and decisively in emergency situations.
- Works well within a diverse team in the execution of duties.
- Able to prioritize and change from one activity to another easily.
- Available on nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be well-groomed and in proper uniform while on duty.
- Some duties may change based on business needs.
