About the Role
Resource Label Group is seeking a 1st Shift Flexo Press Operator to join their team. This role involves setting up and operating printing presses to produce labels and related products. Responsibilities
- Load dies into the press and install print cylinders.
- Fill ink pans, screens, and pumps with prescribed inks.
- Operate the press, adjusting speed and alignment as needed.
- Engage print cylinders, adjust printing impression, and run approval strips.
- Cut and inspect sample strips for imperfections, making necessary adjustments.
- Clean plates, print cylinders, and dies; perform required maintenance.
- Mix inks to achieve desired colors and viscosity.
- Maintain clear and organized work areas and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of narrow-web Flexo printing experience required.
- Experience with color matching, die cutting, plate mounting, and conducting changeovers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales, and other measurement devices.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Mechanical aptitude, including understanding mechanical concepts and equipment.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated teamwork and cooperation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive attitude.
