About the Role
Ensure fuel facilities meet the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance through regulatory maintenance, inspections, and on-call spill response support.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly inspections to ensure equipment complies with NYS DEC, EPA, and company standards.
- Conduct operations and maintenance checks on spill prevention and fuel equipment.
- Track and record monthly cathodic protection readings.
- Schedule repairs or replacements for equipment not meeting regulatory standards.
- Review inspections, address environmental concerns promptly, and ensure compliance across sites.
- Provide on-call 24-hour support for spill response and advise customers on compliance procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers, troubleshooting technical issues when necessary.
- Travel to customers across NYS, potentially requiring overnight stays.
Requirements
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for safety and environmental compliance.
- Technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform essential math and record-keeping tasks.
