You will work with the executive team to translate strategy into actionable plans, requiring strategic thinking, systems building, and people leadership. The ideal candidate has prior PMO leadership experience and thrives in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement GHS FCU's enterprise PMO, including governance structures, methodology standards, and portfolio reporting.
  • Develop and maintain the organizational project portfolio roadmap, aligning initiatives with strategic pillars and growth targets.
  • Establish a PMO maturity model and define a progression path for capabilities.
  • Advise the CEO and executive team on resource allocation, sequencing, and risk trade-offs.
  • Champion a culture of disciplined execution.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of strategic initiatives from scoping to post-launch review.
  • Develop and manage a centralized project portfolio with real-time visibility into status, risk, resource load, and ROI.
  • Facilitate project prioritization decisions with the executive team and Board-level committee.
  • Establish intake processes for new project requests, ensuring proper scoping, sponsorship, and resourcing.
  • Drive consistent use of project management tools and enforce documentation standards.
  • Lead change management strategy for major transformation initiatives.
  • Develop communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, and adoption roadmaps.
  • Partner with leaders to assess change readiness and address resistance.
  • Establish feedback loops for implementation learnings and process improvements.
  • Build internal capability for change management.
  • Lead without direct authority across departments, building relationships and shared accountability.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, Operations, Lending, and Member Experience leaders to integrate project work.
  • Facilitate executive-level project steering sessions to remove blockers and sustain momentum.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic vendor and partner engagements.
  • Represent the PMO and project portfolio in board reporting and strategic planning sessions.
  • Build and mentor a PMO team, scaling with organizational growth needs.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and career paths within the PMO function.
  • Establish project coordinator or analyst capability to support initiative tracking.
  • Create training and onboarding resources for project sponsors and managers.
  • Model rigor, clarity, and consistent follow-through.
  • Design and deliver portfolio-level reporting for the CEO and board.
  • Track and communicate KPIs tied to PMO effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular project retrospectives and convert findings into process improvements.
  • Maintain a project registry and institutional knowledge base.
  • Escalate risks and decisions to the appropriate level with sufficient lead time.
