About the Role

Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join their family. The facility is newly renovated and under new nursing leadership, offering a mission to provide high-quality care with respect and compassion through a personalized, interdisciplinary approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established procedures.
• Document resident care appropriately.
• Create and maintain a calm atmosphere throughout the unit/shift.
• Prepare residents for meals, serve trays, and assist with feeding as indicated.
• Check residents routinely to ensure personal care and hygiene needs are met.
• Assist residents with bath functions.
• Assist with transportation, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transferring residents.
• Answer resident calls promptly.
• Report all changes in resident’s condition promptly.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and blood pressures as instructed.

Requirements

• Hold a current and valid CNA Certification in New York State.
• Be dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care to each resident.
• Be energetic, enthusiastic, committed, and passionate about quality care.
• Be genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
• Possess patience, a cheerful disposition, and a willingness to assist residents and co-workers.
• Have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
• Be trusted to work independently and in a team environment.
• Be able to work well under pressure, be flexible, and work harmoniously with all staff.
• COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated.
