About the Role

Mr. Greens is seeking Routers in Austin, TX to join their team. Mr. Greens is a leading produce distributor in Texas, known for its exceptional service and extensive client base.

Responsibilities

• Create efficient delivery routes, incorporating travel and service times, DOT restrictions, and traffic patterns.
• Plan, distribute, monitor, and follow-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements.
• Coordinate with manager to optimize routes considering staffing levels and driver capabilities.
• Maximize truck capacity for efficient routes.
• Follow up with Drivers to communicate areas of improvement or concerns regarding routes.
• Ensure timely deliveries to customers with time constraints.
• Coordinate pick-up of returns while ensuring efficient routing and safe load transportation.
• Pull customer orders & transfers efficiently and accurately.
• Assemble orders and transfers in identified lag areas, ensuring proper packing and labeling.
• Stack large orders on pallets and secure using stretch wrap.
• Verify product and product count accuracy.
• Ensure loads are stable and secure to prevent damage and meet DOT requirements.
• Perform daily checks on lift truck and battery as directed.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience with routing software and logistics preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
• Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Data entry experience.
• Operate with ownership, be a self-starter, and have strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Critical analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt to change in accordance with the business needs of the company.
• Available to work weekends.
• Must bring proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
• Bilingual Preferred in English and Spanish.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• May involve standing/walking as needed primarily on a level surface throughout the day.
• May include lifting things up to 15 pounds, on occasion.
