About the Role

GFT is seeking a Program Manager - Transit to lead a program of multiple engineering and architectural projects for major transit clients. This role involves client relationship management, proposal development, team mentorship, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain client contacts and relationships.
  • Identify project managers and team members, coordinate strategy, and develop proposals and fees.
  • Mentor project team members and foster a cooperative working environment.
  • Manage program execution, client satisfaction, and quality goals.
  • Monitor and control projects to achieve financial targets.
  • Coach project team members and provide performance feedback.
  • Ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards.
  • Identify, develop, and propose future work assignments with client staff and the Client Service Leader.
  • May manage direct reports including architects, scientists, and engineers.
  • May manage scope, schedule, quality, and budget for teams, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business or related field.
  • 15 or more years’ experience in Transportation program experience.
  • Master’s degree or extensive large transportation program ($100M+) experience is preferred.
  • 10 years supervisory/management experience is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
