About the Role

Join world-class experts as a Systems Engineer II, driving the development of technology-based solutions for engineering and commercial problems. Utilize multidisciplinary engineering experience to design, build, and test new solutions for imaging, spectral sensing, and color measurement applications. Work with commercial and applications teams to develop prototypes and produce mechanical, electrical, and optomechanical designs, with potential for basic software/firmware development and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of technology-based solutions to engineering and commercial problems.
  • Design, build, and test new solutions to meet customer requirements and specifications for imaging, spectral sensing, and color measurement applications.
  • Work with commercial and applications teams to develop prototypes of new opportunities.
  • Produce mechanical and electrical design of instruments and fixtures.
  • Produce optomechanical design of devices.
  • Perform basic software or firmware development.
  • Troubleshoot systems.
  • Develop hands-on expertise in hardware, spectroscopy, imaging, software, and/or electrical engineering.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience developing technical solutions in complex hardware and software development.
  • Hands-on experience developing integrated hardware/software systems from concept to production.
  • Ability to analyze data in an efficient manner and derive actionable development direction from results.
  • Experience in 3D modeling (using SolidWorks or similar).
  • Experience in electrical schematic capture and layout (using Altium or similar).
  • Excellent skills in planning, communications, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate inspire, and influence cross-group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset, bringing a natural curiosity for what “can be” and the willingness to challenge boundaries.
