About the Role
Debugs software products through systematic testing to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts, and programs. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures, maintaining documentation of test results to aid in debugging and software modification. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action, consulting with development engineers in problem resolution. Provides feedback on technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software, ensuring quality computer integration into scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
Responsibilities
- Debugs software products through systematic testing.
- Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts, and programs.
- Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
- Maintains documentation of test results.
- Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
- Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
- Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Software or Computer Engineering (or related field of study)
- 1+ year experience
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
- Employee must be able to meet physical requirements with or without an accommodation.
- Light or sedentary work that will occasionally 1-33% require employee to lift/move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally 1-33% lift more than 20 lbs. to greater than 25 lbs.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies occasionally 1-33%
- Reaching below the shoulder occasionally 1-33%.
- Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools occasionally 1-33%
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
