About the Role

Lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms, focusing on integrating the Brex acquisition and building a TPM practice for the Business Cards and Payments domain.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop TPM leaders, fostering a high-performance culture focused on technical excellence and delivery accountability.
  • Lead technology-focused discussions with senior leadership by providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisions.
  • Simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives.
  • Drive execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
  • Collaborate across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to achieve objectives.
  • Integrate Brex's B2B Software into Capital One’s ecosystem.
  • Build a TPM practice for the Business Cards and Payments domain across Personal Liability and Corporate Liability Cards.

Requirements

  • Strong technical backgrounds with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle.
  • Experience building and leading a world-class team of technical program managers.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • A quantitative approach to problem-solving and a collaborative implementer of holistic solutions; a systems thinker.
  • Experienced TPM leader to grow and develop a team of TPMs, while also building the foundations for the TPM practice.
  • Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep-seated empathy for teams and partners.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs.
  • 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
  • 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS.
  • 5+ years of building & leading experienced TPM team.
  • 5+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
  • 5+ years years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impact.
  • Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering).
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • Remote (Regardless of Location): $245,100 - $279,800
  • San Francisco, CA: $294,100 - $335,700
