About the Role
The Vice President, Advanced Planning is a client-facing subject matter expert in financial and estate planning for Fidelity’s high net worth clients and their advisors. This role leads end-to-end planning engagements using specialized tools and is supported by an analyst. The team collaborates virtually and in-person to support client engagements across a geographic region, with travel expected between 5% and 20%.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end financial and estate planning engagements.
- Utilize eMoney and other planning tools to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Support advanced planning client engagements throughout a geographic region.
- Collaborate with the Advanced Planning team virtually and in-person.
- Coach and develop junior team members.
- Drive high-net-worth client engagement within an assigned territory.
- Deliver planning solutions with a client-first mindset and practical approach.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 13-15 years overall work experience.
- 7+ years of trusts and estate planning, income tax planning, or succession planning experience within a public accounting, law practice, or wealth management industry.
- Retirement, financial, investment, and insurance planning knowledge.
- Estate Planning, family wealth transfer planning, wills/trusts, income taxation, and trust and estate taxation knowledge.
- Ability to create and review financial plans using tools such as eMoney.
- Experience working with business owners, start-ups/Pre IPO companies is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex subjects clearly and effectively.
- Strong emotional intelligence with a proven ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients and their advisors.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency.
- Positive, professional demeanor and apply a thoughtful approach to achieving successful client outcomes.
- Reside within commuting distance to an Investor Center or Regional Center in CA, WA, or CO.
- Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Individuals with certain Criminal Histories may be restricted from hiring or association due to applicable laws and regulations.
