About the Role

Responsible for the daily outcome generated from the patient impact tool, managing the quality of front desk operations, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This role involves assigning workstations and breaks, evaluating workflow for productivity and quality, and implementing changes. The position also requires informing management of operational issues, resolving patient and physician problems, and training new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the quality of day-to-day front desk operations and ensures efficient patient flow.
  • Assigns workstations and lunch breaks to staff.
  • Evaluates and ensures workflow and performance to maximize productivity and quality and minimize patient wait time.
  • Ensures changes/updates to workflow are implemented.
  • Informs management about significant personnel and operational issues.
  • Resolves problems related to patients and referring physicians.
  • Escalates to Clinical Site Manager as necessary.
  • Trains new hires and consistently informs staff on changes to admissions policies, procedures and practices.
  • Attends department meetings to discuss and evaluate best practices.
  • Collaborates to maintain current training manual.
  • May be required to perform personnel audits on site CCA’s.
  • Displays exemplary customer service at all times with both internal and external customers including a positive, friendly and caring attitude.
  • Greets patients and visitors, determines the nature of their visit and provides accurate, appropriate information.
  • Helps dissolve situations with irate patients on the phone or in the lobby, with good listening skills, and problem solving.
  • Enlists the help of Clinic Management, when necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ months direct experience in a radiology or other medical practice or call center, preferred.
  • Must demonstrate mastery in Radiology exam scheduling and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high productivity environment.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff.

  • Greater Austin, TX area

Work Type

  • Outpatient setting
  • No on-call shifts or overnights

Experience Level

  • 6+ months direct experience in a radiology or other medical practice or call center, preferred.

Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent
