About the Role

Make a local impact in the Greater Austin, TX area! ARA Diagnostic Imaging, a practice of Radiology Partners, combines a strong local presence with national support to deliver exceptional outpatient imaging and offer meaningful careers.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Rad Tech in performing radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician, which may include DEXA scans.
  • Assists with room setup for each patient, including table, equipment, and technical parameters.
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic x-ray procedures by escorting them, providing instructions, and assisting with positioning.
  • Ensures safety procedures and universal precautions are used at all times.
  • Assesses previous patient exams/reports and loads or digitizes outside studies if applicable.
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of procedure referrals in the system and communicates them to the radiologist.

Requirements

  • Must obtain state licensure within six (6) months of radiology program completion.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a senior student in good standing in an accredited radiology program.
  • Current BLS recognized by the American Heart Association.

Skills

  • Knowledge of basic radiologic methods and techniques (e.g., chest, gastrointestinal, fluoroscopic, skeletal procedures).
  • Knowledge of quality care and radiation safety standards (ALARA).
