About the Role

iCook / iSTEAM After School and MoneyBee Education provides fun, hands-on after-school cooking, STEAM, and financial literacy education for children in grades K–4 and middle school students. We are looking for passionate educators to make a difference in children's lives with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead after school cooking/STEAM and financial literacy classes for elementary students (K-4).
• Excite students about trying fun and creative recipes and experiments, new foods, and encourage learning about new cuisines and cultures.
• Teach provided lesson plans covering nutrition and healthy eating, basic cooking skills, STEAM concepts, and foundational financial literacy.
• Introduce kids to basic cutting and measuring techniques, food safety, and table manners.
• Purchase groceries for each class based on provided recipes.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with a large group of kids (e.g., school setting, summer camp).
• Ability to stand and move throughout a classroom setting during program instruction.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and kneel during program setup, instruction, and cleanup.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and transport program materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to load and unload program supplies from a vehicle.
• Ability to travel to assigned program locations.
