About the Role

Austin Safety Council is hiring reliable, detail-oriented Collection Technicians to perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol screenings on-site at a client location in the Austin area. You'll manage collections start to finish with strict accuracy and confidentiality. No experience required — we train and certify you, with a clear entry path into occupational health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform urine drug screen and breath/saliva alcohol collections under DOT and non-DOT protocols
  • Maintain strict chain-of-custody and complete, accurate documentation on every specimen
  • Verify donor identity and guide each person through the process professionally and discreetly
  • Learn and consistently follow the client site's specific policies and procedures
  • Handle scheduled, random, and reasonable-suspicion collections with composure
  • Keep the collection area clean, compliant, and organized

Requirements

  • 18+, high school diploma or equivalent
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Sharp attention to detail and integrity with sensitive info
  • Comfortable working independently on-site
  • Able to pass a background check and screening
  • Existing collector certification a plus — we'll train if not
