About the Role

Sentry's blog, newsletter, and content programs need an owner who can navigate ambiguity, define necessary initiatives, and drive them to completion. This is a self-starter role where you will build the content calendar and strategy. You should be adept at quick drafting and shipping, technically knowledgeable to engage a developer audience, and proactive in identifying narratives. You will collaborate with Growth, Comms, PMM, and DevEx, exercising editorial judgment on content priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead blog strategy, partnering with Growth on the editorial calendar and scaling the program.
  • Focus on creating thought leadership, customer brand, and employer brand content for a narrative-driven editorial program.
  • Collaborate with Comms, DevEx, and Product Marketing on the editorial program.
  • Oversee content quality and ensure a consistent, sharp, and confident voice across all posts.
  • Track industry trends in the developer and infrastructure world to create timely content that positions Sentry.
  • Collaborate with Comms and Marketing to advance narratives.
  • Support content development for the executive team.
  • Manage the monthly newsletter, including writing, publishing, and optimization.
  • Incorporate blog content, thought leadership, events, and social moments into the newsletter.
  • Maintain consistent quality and voice in the monthly newsletter.
  • Drive the content aspect of data reports, ebooks, and case studies.
  • Support PMM/Enterprise in crafting customer stories.

Requirements

  • Experience owning an editorial calendar, blog, or content program at a B2B or developer-focused company.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to write quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Comfortable ghostwriting for executives and adapting tone and voice for different audiences.
  • Experience running a newsletter, including writing, publishing, and iterating based on performance.
  • Familiarity with the developer tools, infrastructure, or software space.
