About the Role

Under general direction, provides administrative support and assists with all aspects and activities related to the department's Third Party Surrogacy Program.

Responsibilities

  • Manages coordination of Intended Parent and Gestational Surrogacy patient care and patient education for the Third Party Program (TPP).
  • Coordinates care including preliminary testing and screening, and scheduling consultations for Third Party patients (Intended Parents and Gestational Carriers).
  • Serves as primary liaison between IPs, GCs, their partners, Surrogacy Agencies, Surrogacy Attorneys, and related departments (labs, billing).
  • Maintains compliance with policies and procedures for Third Party Reproduction, including federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Assists with compliance and program-wide audits, ensuring HIPAA and billing compliance.
  • Works closely with other TPP coordinators to triage TPP patients and assist with screening and care coordination.
  • Attends weekly Third Party Program meetings and provides cross-coverage for other Third Party Coordinators.
  • Collaborates with key managers to optimize patient experience and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to improve TPP operations.
  • Educates patients starting reproductive treatments to create embryos for use in a gestational carrier.
  • Serves as liaison between CRM, IPs, and sperm banks to ensure proper acquisition of frozen, tested sperm and appropriate testing/screening of oocyte providers.
  • Educates and coordinates Intended Parents using their own gametes (egg or sperm) or directed donors regarding regulatory and program requirements.
  • Coordinates care for directed sperm donors by scheduling appointments and ensuring complete documentation.
  • Refers directed egg donors to the Donor Egg Coordinator.
  • Counsels recipients of directed sperm donation regarding regulatory and program requirements.
  • Coordinates care for recipients of directed sperm donors by scheduling appointments and ensuring complete documentation.
  • Contributes to the development of the directed sperm donation program.
  • Counsels patients intending to use a gestational carrier in the future regarding regulatory and program requirements.
  • Coordinates care by scheduling appointments and ensuring documentation is complete for future gestational carrier use.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues.
