About the Role

Maintain, install, and repair facility and automation equipment within the Distribution Center, providing oversight of complex work assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Diagnose and perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building equipment, including air compressors, heating/ventilation, and plumbing/electrical systems.
  • Inspect work performed by other maintenance team members, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and redirecting efforts as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with the Facilities Manager and Operations leaders regarding repair status and operational impact.
  • Ensure clear shift handoffs for a smooth transition of work.
  • Lead and perform project work to support warehouse operations, potentially coordinating the work of others.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with third-party vendors.
  • Train maintenance team members as needed.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Computer proficiency for work input, assignment identification, and MS Outlook usage.
  • High-level proficiency with conveyor control systems software and shock watch system software.
  • Ability to MIG and Stick Weld and use tools and equipment effectively and safely.
  • Ability to operate all powered equipment in the facility, including yard trucks, forklifts, and maintenance vehicles.
  • Ability to accurately interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills to drive work performance.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to train others on new processes and techniques.
  • Effective time management to meet deadlines and respond to urgent matters.
  • Ability to set and reassess work priorities.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, off-shifts, and weekends as needed.
