About the Role

Destination Pet is revolutionizing the pet industry and is looking for an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at New York Dog Spa & Hotel. This role is for individuals passionate about animals who want to turn their love for pets into a rewarding career.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of every pet guest.
• Reporting any unusual observations to management.
• Supervising playtime and activities.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and pet belongings.
• Making tails wag.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is expected.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Open availability preferred.
