About the Role
The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide immediate attention to unscheduled patients, ensuring their medical needs are met by offering clinical services, referring to primary care practitioners, or guiding them to other on-site services for positive clinical outcomes and high-quality patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide unscheduled patients with immediate attention to presenting complaint(s) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
- Provide health education and counseling regarding presenting complaints, appropriate follow-up, on-site referral services, and the importance of scheduling and keeping regular appointments.
- Ensure patients presenting for unscheduled care receive on-site referral appointments as appropriate to facilitate effective clinical follow-up.
- Assist in making appointments and accessing other on-site services as appropriate.
- Provide health education one-on-one and in small groups, spontaneously and on a scheduled basis.
- Provide coverage as needed in clinical units at BMS-Main and at other clinical sites.
Requirements
- Family Nurse Practitioner, certification preferred
- Experience and/or training in a community health center setting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Bilingual (Spanish, French, Haitian Creole) a plus
- Computer literacy/proficiency required
- 2-5 Years' Experience as an NP with HIV Care
- Board Certified
- DEA Registration
- HIV Care Certification

Salary/Compensations
- $140,000 -$150,000 annually
